We have such a
deep appreciation for our church family at First Baptist. I
am not as involved in activities as are Heather and our boys
(Seth 6, and Kyle 3), but I think that is one of the reasons
our involvement is so important. Since I work so many nights
and weekends and travel throughout the year, it gives my
family stability being able to be involved in AWANA, Sunday
School, and informal activities and relationships with
friends from church. We were looking for a place that was
based on Christian love and concern for others, not an
environment based on fear or guilt, and we found that at
First Baptist. It's not a cliché that we truly call
this a "church family", and that is why we are still
involved.

First Baptist
Church has been a sustaining force in my life for me and my
family for 50 years. Its biblical teachings, lifetime
friendships and a vibrant prayer life has helped me thru
sorrows, joys and daily needs. The church has given me more
than I could ever repay

I was drawn to
FBC by the weekly Bible study type messages, the uplifting
music and being with people who care. I have on more than
one occasion, needed comforting during my faith journey and
during my adjustment as a widow. Friends at church have been
there for me.

We were
attracted to FBC by the friendly welcome we received when we
moved to Forest City. We have been surrounded by love and
caring during times of crisis.

I was drawn to
FBC by their friendliness - You are a part of the

There are many
things we love about FBC, but we especially enjoy the
worship services each Sunday which feature a band and
worship leaders. It's a wonderful time of praising
God!

FBC has helped
us to grow in faith and strengthen our relationship with
Christ. We've enjoyed getting to know others through Small
Group and Adult Sunday School activities. We look forward to
seeing how God will use FBC in the
future
