CONCERT WEDNESDAY AT FBC

The band, Lybecker, will be on stage in the FBC Family Center on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm to this show for the entire family. Admission is a non-perishable food item for the FC Food Bank. Sponsored by First Baptist and Bash on the Farm, this group will perform at Bash, June 19, 20. Fliers are at the Info. Desk.

 

90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Phyllis Johnson will be honored at an Open House hosted by her family from 2 – 5 pm on Thursday, May 21 at the Forest Plaza Assisted Living in Forest City, to celebrate her 90th birthday. Phyllis requests no gifts please. Family and friends may send cards to 635 Hwy 9 E, Forest City, IA 50436.

 

RENEW :: PRAYER FOR WOMEN’S RETREAT

The Prayer Room will be set aside next Sunday, May 24 at 10 am for a time of prayer for this fall’s Women’s Retreat at Pine Lake Camp. Our ladies are hosting at camp which means planning the weekend. Please join us to pray for our speakers, music and all those who will attend Retreat on September 18-20.

 

SENIOR ADULTS SUPPER AND MEETING

Come, join the senior adults for a Mystery Supper and last meeting until fall. We will meet Tuesday, May 26, 5:30 pm, Fireside Room.

 

SUMMER HOURS START MAY 31

FBC will begin a Summer Worship Schedule on May 31. Worship will be at 9 am and no Sunday School for children. Summer schedule will be from May 31 through September 6; between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We look forward to following Jesus together!

 

CHILD DEDICATION SUNDAY JUNE 7

We will have a child dedication on Sunday, June 7 for any family that wants to dedicate their child. If you’d like to be a part, please sign up at the Information Desk or call the church office.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our young boys and girls from Vision who gave of their time on Saturday, May 2 to rake leaves and pick up sticks for us. They filled 25 garbage bags! We were so impressed with their kindness and commitment to complete the task. Also a big thank you to Justin and Tiffany Gapp and Lydia Thompson who readily pitched in and have created a great group of responsible young adults.
