SS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM THIS EVENING

Our Sunday School kids will present their Christmas Program “Christmas FAQs” in the sanctuary tonight, December 14 at 4 pm. Refreshments will be served after the program. All are welcome to hear the Christmas Story told by kids, which never grows old!

 

CHRISTMAS PARTIES THIS WEEK

This Wednesday will be Christmas Parties for T&T Girls and Vision beginning at 6 pm. Clay Co. will follow with their party at 7:30 pm. High School kids will be exchanging white elephant gifts.

 

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS FOR SPONSOR

We have ordered white poinsettias for the holidays at FBC. If you would like to sponsor one or more and then take them home after the holidays, please bring or send $8 to the church. Consider honoring or remembering a loved one this season.

 

CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICES

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Your heart will be warmed by songs, scriptures and the glow of our Annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Services. Please join us in the Family Center at 4 pm or 6 pm on December 24.

 

CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE

Just a reminder that December 21and 28 there will be no Sunday School; December 28 there will be ONE service at 9 am.

 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

A new study is starting on Wednesday nights during Awana; How to Raise a Modern-Day Joseph, a book by Linda Massey Weddle. It will begin on January 7 at 6 pm and continue through the Awana year. Schedules are  available. Contact Juanita Stevens, facilitator, with questions.

 

MISS THE MEETING?

We had a wonderful Town Hall Meeting last Sunday. Praise God for the unity and vision. If you were unable to attend, stop by the church office and grab an info pamphlet. Be in prayer for the Transition Team as they work out details for future leadership and organizational changes.

 

RELATE :: HAITI 2015

The plan for next summer’s Haiti Trip is July 4-11. Be praying for your participation in serving our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Also, ask Pastor Matt about a Haiti Trip in February with another church where there are two openings.

 

RELATE :: YOUTH WINTER RETREATS COMING SOON

Enjoy a great time of fellowship with other kids at Pine Lake Winter Retreats! Registrations are due a week before camp starts. Register online, pay First Baptist. Cost is $42. Here are the dates:

Sr. High Retreat:  January 16-18—grades 9th-12th

Juniors Retreat:  January 23-25—grades 2nd-5th

Junior High Retreat:  February 6-8—grades 6th-8th 

(Our Pastor Eric is the speaker for the Junior High Retreat!)
