3RD ANNUAL GOSPEL SING

This anticipated Gospel Sing is Sunday, August 24, 4:30pm in the FBC Family Center; presented by Forest City Christian School. Local gospel talent:  Three in Praise, Albertson Sisters, Second Generation, Three Jims and a Tim, Kevin Pederson and family, hymn sing-along, and more! Free-will offering to benefit FCCS. A light supper will be served following the concert.

 

SENIOR ADULTS TO BREAKFAST

The FBC Senior Adult Group will be having a Breakfast Potluck on Wednesday, August 27 at 9:00am. Egg Bake will be furnished. Please bring other brunch foods to share. All seniors are invited to join us at the new FBC Playground, on the east lawn.

 

RELATE :: FALL MINISTRIES

The fall ministries are starting soon! On Wednesday, August 27 there is Child Protection Training beginning with a 5:45pm meal. This is for all youth workers. Then on Wednesday, September 3there will be a church-wide picnic at 6pm to launch the fall ministries. Information will be available for Awana, Vision and Clay Co. And games too!

 

TOM EGGUM SPEAKING AUGUST 31

The founder of Hope4Kids International, Tom Eggum, will be with us on August 31 at 9:00am to share the latest news from the mission fields. A free-will offering will be taken for Hope4Kids. Tom grew up in Thompson, Iowa and his family was a part of FBC.

 

RENEW :: MEMBERSHIP CLASS BEGINS

There will be a Membership Class for all who interested in joining in fellowship, beginning September 7 during the Sunday School hour. The class will meet from 10:00—10:45 am each Sunday of the fall quarter (Sept.—Nov.) All classes begin on September 7.

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRAYS!

A girl was born to Jennifer and Josh Gray on Friday, August 8 at 1:01 pm. PAYTON GRACE was 7 lbs. 12 oz., 21 in. long. Blessings to you all!

 

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY BEGINS SEPTEMBER 11 & 12

This year’s Bible Study is Beth Moore’s newest labor of love, Children of the Day; a study of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. The study begins on Thursday, September 11 at 6:30pm and Friday, September 12 at 8:30am and ends on November 6 & 7. (9 weeks) Please sign up at the Information Desk. Study books are $16.

 

A STAR-SPANGLED SUNDAY

The Sunday Evening group will be hosting a simulcast on September 14 at6:00 pm. This 90 minute, live, nationwide simulcast tells the story of our national anthem on its 200th birthday.
